We are currently taking applications for Certified Red Seal Technician to join our RMI- and AA Certified workshop. In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality workmanship on both new and pre-owned vehicles, ensuring every car leaving our dealership showroom meets the highest standards of safety, performance, and quality. The key focus areas are:
- Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of vehicles, ensuring quality and safety standards
- Conduct all scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance, and Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) in line with manufacturer and dealership specifications
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems efficiently using approved diagnostic tools and software
- Support junior technicians
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized workspace ensuring compliance with health, safety and workshop operational standards and protocols
- Collaborate with management to streamline processes and improve workshop efficiency
- Employ strong work ethic and commitment to customer satisfaction

Workshop Operations & Workflow Management
- Allocate job cards based on technician skill and availability
- Ensure job cards are accurately completed
- Oversee test drives and post-test full checks
- Approve proposed work before quoting
- Ensure parts are ordered and delivered on time
- Expedite delayed part deliveries
- Maintain efficient workflow and minimize downtime
- Monitor job progress; provide support or escalate as needed
- Maintain time-management and timelines in workshop operations
- Conduct final quality checks before vehicle release
- Stay up to date with manufacturer technical bulletins, recalls and training
Post-Repair Quality Control
- Inspect completed work for mechanical and Visual standards
- Verify safety, repair accuracy, and fluid levels
- Ensure no warning lights, leaks or loose fittings remain
- Complete diagnostic scans and log results
- Confirm vehicle cleanliness (inside and out)
- Oversee and sign off all completed work
Team Management & Development
- Supervise and mentor mechanics, apprentices and service / workshop staff
- Conduct regular performance reviews
- Manage workshop attendance, leave and discipline
- Identify training needs and oversee upskilling
Parts & Inventory Coordination
- Ensure accurate and timely parts ordering
- Monitor inventory to prevent over/understocking
- Build strong supplier relationships
Customer Service, Communication & Vehicle Care Standards
- Lead Service Advisor to ensure seamless workshop/front-desk flow
- Communicate job progress and timelines
- Align customer expectations with workshop capacity
- Address complaints promptly and professionally
- Ensure vehicles are cleaned and inspected before return
- Log pre-existing damage and verify post-work condition
Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate job and service records, reports, use of parts, timesheets and workshop documentation in the dealership management system
- Enforce health & safety compliance and cleanliness standards
- Track and report workshop KPIs
- Maintain accurate service records
Minimum Requirements and Experience
- National Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
- Valid red seal certification as an automotive service technician
(Only qualified candidates will be considered) - Minimum of 5–10 years’ proven working experience
- Strong diagnostic, problem solving and mechanical skills within an automotive dealership environment advantageous
- Experience working with diagnostic systems and DMS platforms
- Fluency in English, other language/s beneficial
- No criminal record
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record & own reliable transport
- Must be able to work Saturdays and Public Holidays
