Casual Catering Driver

Minimum Qualifications.

• National Senior Certificate or Grade 12
• Valid Code 10 or Code 14 driver’s license
• Valid PDP.
• Must be South African Citizen

Experience and Knowledge required.

•  Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a driver
•  Able to work flexible hours
•  Ability to lift and carry heavy items
• Must have experience in towing trailers (2.5m wide)
•  Good local areas and road knowledge
•  Reliable transportation to and from work.

Skills required for the position:

•  Excellent Customer service skills
•  Excellent Communication skills
•  Good Driving skills
•  Knowledge of local roads
•  Basic computer skills, including using a GPS System

Responsibilities and Duties Required:

• Responsible for safe and efficient collection and delivery of staff and equipment to the worksite and back.
•  Consistently punctual and arrives on or before appointments.
•  Courteously and professionally interacts with bereaved family members; exhibits sensitivity to environment; minimizes conversation.
•  Able to provide excellent customer service, respond to customer enquiries and maintaining a professional image.
•  Adherence to all traffic laws and regulations
•  Ensures vehicle is clean and well maintained
• Ability to lift or carry heavy objects
• Upon return, offload vehicle and place all equipment in appropriate storage areas.
• Maintains assigned vehicle (e.g., fluid levels, tire pressure, etc.) to ensure safe operation of vehicle
• Fuels vehicles as necessary. Follows road safety guidelines. Follows expenditure processes.
• Identifies vehicle engine or operating issues to management; drives vehicles for repair or inspection.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
