Security Officer
We are seeking for security officer who will be responsible for an access control security guard to protect the assets.
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications and Experience

Grade C – PSIRA registered and up to date

Grade 10 or higher
-
Previous security experience is essential

Computer Literacy – will be advantageous

Physically fit – to perform physical security duties e.g. able to stand/walk for long hours
-
Clear criminal record
Suitable candidates must pass all recruitment checks – aptitude test, interviews, background checks etc
Key Duties and Responsibilities

Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
-
Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people in the property, as part of access control duties. Effective customer service.

Assist with general housekeeping activities e.g. closing of doors, windows at the end of operations.

Monitor CCTV cameras
-
Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts

Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions
-
Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation
-
Provide security assistance where needed
-
Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences and record these in the Occurrence Book.
